## Overview

Wärtsilä is a 190-year-old global company with a headcount of 20,000. Throughout its long history, innovation and change have been in its DNA. But when it came to identity, the company struggled to get two identity and access management (IAM) programs off the ground, defaulting to inefficient, homegrown processes to manage a growing and distributed workforce.

The company desperately needed to reimagine its Joiner, Mover, Leaver Framework to keep operations running smoothly and ensure security and compliance requirements were met. And after multiple failed attempts, it was clear Wärtsilä needed a solution that wouldn’t cause more implementation and adoption hurdles.

Solution

Longtime ServiceNow users, Wärtsilä turned to the platform to bring its IAM program into the future. An identity governance solution built natively on ServiceNow, Clear Skye optimizes enterprise identity and risk management with an innovative platform-first approach.
